This is an ideal gold-package for those wanting to assess in hairdressing and beauty. A comprehensive and dynamic learning experience is offered and involves investigating and preparing for assessment, carrying out assessment and engaging in an assessor team (including an understanding of Internal and External Quality Assurance teamwork).
Each assessor in training will have a dedicated hair or beauty assessor, a relevant class and learners for shadowing experience and assessment observation. Two specific learners will be the subjects of your actual assessment observations, exam and assignment marking whilst under shadowing supervisory guidance.
Wider training in lesson planning, classroom management, communication techniques, understanding behaviour, problem solving and understanding good assessor practice such as evaluation and reflection is also included to provide an experiential link for assessors who will be tutoring and training learners as well as assessing them.
Initial training is at our campuses on Brunswick Street and Rosemary Street, Belfast. However campuses in Newry, Ballymena and Portadown may be made available for the placement and shadowing component at the later stages of training if applicable.
